BATON ROUGE – Funeral services have been set for former LSU football standout Marc Boutte, who passed away last week. Services for Boutte will be held on Saturday, March 15 in Lake Charles at the Combre Funeral Home located at 1200 Mill Street. Visitation will take place from 9 to 10:45 a.m. on Saturday followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

BATON ROUGE – Kyle Williams, a former All-America defensive tackle at LSU, has been named defensive line coach for the Tigers, head coach Brian Kelly announced. Williams, who spent 13 years in the NFL with Buffalo Bills, joins the Tigers after five seasons as the defensive coordinator at Ruston High School. Williams will coach the interior defensive line for the Tigers. “Kyle brings an impressive resume to our staff,” Kelly said. “He’s a quality individual with high character.

BATON ROUGE – New Orleans Saints head coach Kellen Moore along with offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier and defensive coordinator Brandon Staley headline the 2025 LSU Coaches Clinic on March 20-22. Registration for the clinic, which will be held at the LSU Football Operations Center, remains open and coaches can register here. Registration fee for the three-day clinic is $75 and includes meals. BATON ROUGE – Eight LSU sports teams are ranked among the Top 10 in the nation in their respective polls this week. In all, eleven LSU teams currently in-season are ranked in the Top 25. LSU baseball, off to a 3-0 start following a weekend sweep of Purdue-Fort Wayne, is the highest-ranked team, coming in at No. 2 this week in Baseball America. The Tigers are No. 3 in D1baseball.com and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.

BATON ROUGE – Eight LSU football players, a group that includes four offensive linemen, have been invited to the NFL Combine, the league announced on Thursday. The NFL Combine will be held February 27-March 2 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. The NFL Network will televise the action each day. The event will also be streamed at NFL.com/watch. LSU’s combine list includes five players on offense and three on defense.
Heisman Winners Burrow, Daniels Claim NFL Honors

BATON ROUGE – LSU’s Heisman Trophy quarterbacks Jayden Daniels and Joe Burrow both claimed honors last night as the league held its annual NFL Honors awards show in New Orleans. Daniels earned NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Honors, while Burrow claimed the NFL Comeback Player of the Year award. Daniels became LSU’s third NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year joining Odell Beckham Jr. (2014) and Ja’Marr Chase (2021). Former Tigers Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas were finalists for this year’s award.
