Newton, MA - The Lasell Men's Lacrosse team defeated the Panthers of Plymouth State this afternoon in a nail biting contest, ending with a final score of 11-10. The Lasers opened up scoring with two back to back goals from Anthony DeRosa. The Panthers answered, but DeRosa sent another to the back of the net to give Lasell a 3-1 lead. Plymouth scored once more to end the first quarter. Plymouth outscored the Lasers 3-1 during the second quarter forcing Lasell to head into halftime down by one.

The Alabama legislature is prioritizing gaming legislation in its 2024 session, with the Alabama House of Representatives passing the legislation yesterday, February 15. The legislation outlines license allocations, terms and fees, and tax rates. It now moves to the Alabama Senate for consideration. If passed and then signed by Governor Ivey as expected, the legislation will put casinos, lottery, and sports betting on the November ballot for voters.

The leadership of the Alabama House of Representatives released its proposed gaming legislation on February 8, 2024. We believe that this is Alabama's most serious and best drafted effort to date at legalizing gaming. Given that the legislation has the support of Governor Kay Ivey and the leadership of both legislative chambers, there is a very good chance that the bill will pass.
