Tupelo defensive lineman JaReylan McCoy announced his commitment to Florida football on June 14 from a social media post. McCoy, a four-star recruit, is ranked as the No. 7 player in Mississippi, the No. 16 defensive lineman, and the No. 121 overall recruit in the Class of 2026, according to the 247Sports Composite.

Bay High School's Aiden Boudro has been selected as the Gatorade Mississippi boys soccer player of the year for the 2024-25 season after Gatorade announced on June 12. The 2025 MHSAA football championships will be held at Mississippi State's Davis Wade Stadium. MHSAA Executive Director Rickey Neaves and MSU Athletic Director Zac Selmon expressed excitement about the event. Brandon's Hannah Jo Sullivan was named Gatorade Mississippi softball player of the year for the 2025 season on June 9. The 5-foot-4 Mississippi State commit led the Bulldogs to a 22-7 record this season and the second round of the MHSAA Class 7A state tournament.
