It included 25 wins or more, an MHSAA 7A Region-2 title, a North State title and leaving Trustmark Park as champions. Madison Central (27-8) claimed the MHSAA Class 7A state championship with a 5-1 win over Brandon (24-14) on May 24.

West Union defeated Taylorsville 4-1 to win the MHSAA Class 1A state baseball championship. The victory marks West Union's first baseball state title. During his career, Farlow led Purvis to four state championships and amassed a 712-362 record. PEARL — Purvis baseball coach Tony Farlow said he was disappointed during his final game as head coach, but was proud of the team's effort. The Tornadoes' 3-2 loss to West Lauderdale in Game 3 of the MHSAA Class 4A title series on May 23 was Farlow's last in the purple and gold.
