Near normal temperatures for Wednesday with a slight thunderstorm risk Tonight, we have a few showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the mountains. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 42°. We have some low pressure to our north, keeping our temperatures on the cooler and mild side. We have some moisture working through the region, leading to a few thunderstorms. High temperatures in the lower 70’s for Wednesday and Thursday.

Earthquake swarm striking northwest of Stanley CENTRAL IDAHO (KIFI) - Two separate magnitude 3.6 quakes struck within three minutes of each other Monday evening, the latest and largest so far in a series of quakes near Stanley. The latest sizeable quakes struck around 8:23 PM and 8:26 PM. The epicenters were roughly 9 to 10 miles northwest of the town of Stanley. There have been at least 20 quakes over a magnitude of 2.0 since Saturday.

Mild start to the week with a low thunderstorm risk After a cold front late Sunday, we’re seeing cooler temperatures with a few thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy overnight, with a low temperature around 45°. North northeast winds around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Tuesday, Increasing clouds, with a high near 68°. There is a slight chance of thunderstorms, mainly for the mountains. Winds from the west around 10 mph becoming west in the afternoon.

Warming trend continues with a threat for thunderstorms for Thursday We still have the risk of thunderstorms for Thursday evening with overnight low temperatures in the lower 50’s. Thursday, increasing clouds for the afternoon with a chance of thunderstorms. A high temperature in the mid 80’s for the Snake River Plain. Friday will be sunny and hot with highs in the lower to mid 80’s. A slight chance of thunderstorms near the Wyoming state line and areas to the east.
