However, as of late, neither the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) nor Congress are willing to address the future of this evolving industry. Since passage of the 2018 Farm Bill, and the evolution of the retail CBD industry, the federal government’s inaction has forced state legislatures to enact state-specific hemp laws.
