I don’t think it’s surprising Elon Musk regrets what he said about President Trump. He seems impulsive. Musk has posted tweets that have moved markets, gotten him sued, or forced his companies into damage control. In 2018, he tweeted “Am considering taking Tesla private at $420. Funding secured.” He didn’t have the funding. It led to a lawsuit, a $40 million SEC settlement, and Musk stepping down as Tesla chairman. He often makes bold declarations without established timelines or logistics.
