The buyer has several hotels in New York. A 106-room extended-stay hotel near hospitals and colleges in Albany has sold. Towneplace Suites Albany Downtown/Medical Center was purchased by an LLC affiliated with Visions Hotels of Corning, according to filings in the Albany County clerk's office. The properties at 22 Holland Ave. and 39 Besch Ave. sold for $4.15 million plus a $6 million consolidated mortgage that was assumed by the buyer. The seller was Sayville Browning Properties Inc.

Two groups are interested in redeveloping the former Golden Krust site in Cohoes. The Golden Krust bakery was destroyed by a fire that started in a faulty frying machine nearly 20 years ago, disrupting a third-generation Cohoes business and leaving behind a site that has yet to be redeveloped.

The buyers say they needed the space because their client base has nearly doubled since 2022. A supplier of food, beverages and merchandise to convenience stores and gas stations bought a larger warehouse in Colonie for its growing business. An LLC in Edison, New Jersey, affiliated with the business, Price Center, paid $2.1 million for the 23,150-square-foot building at 12 Access Road, according to a deed filed in the Albany County clerk's office. The seller was Selkirk Warehouses Inc. of Albany.

The development will fill a vacant 2.5-acre site on a key gateway into the city. The Schenectady Community Action Program (SCAP) received approval from city planners Wednesday night to build a $37 million campus that will provide affordable apartments and child care to local residents.

The owners of three Asian grocery stores in upstate New York want to build a fourth — this time on a former polluted industrial site in Colonie. Ren Garden Group Inc. is seeking site plan approval from the town planning board to build a 40,000-square-foot Asia Food Market plus a warehouse and other retail space at 1130 Central Ave.
