With US president-elect Donald Trump vowing to impose a 25 percent tariff on all Canadian imports, federal government officials are at the sharp end. Their actions could be key to the outcome of what may become a devastating trade dispute. Wells time machine and propelled back to 1993, with itself in the role of the Progressive Conservative Party? In other words, not a 2011-style, save-some-furniture defeat, but a molecular-level demolition on par with the Oct. 25, 1993 rout that reduced the PC party to two seats?
