BackColdplay were joined on stage by Michael J. Fox during their slot at Glastonbury 2024. The 63-year-old actor – who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in the early 90s – appeared on stage during the spectacular final coda to the band’s set at Worthy Farm on Saturday night. Frontman Chris Martin introduced Fox as a “legend”, before the Hollywood star played a guitar alongside Coldplay and a huge support cast of backing singers.

And it has become the center of a battle over the future of mining in Guatemala. In January, the outgoing Guatemalan government gave the green light for the Cerro Blanco open-pit gold mine in the hills outside of Asunción Mita.
