    Health Canada is recalling thousands of pairs of women’s boots manufactured by The North Face because of “a potential fall hazard” for anyone who wears them. The recall covers all varieties of the Shellista V Mid Waterproof Boots, available in white, grey, tan and black. The agency said the waterproof, leather boots pose a hazard to the wearer because the hook of one boot can potentially catch onto the lace of the other boot while walking and could trip them up.

    Airdrie RCMP are investigating the sexual assault of a woman in Nose Creek Park last year. Police say at about 3 a.m. on June 1, 2024, a woman was offered a ride home from the Main Street Beer and BBQ restaurant by a male. While on the way home, police said the man stopped at Nose Creek Park and sexually assaulted her. The victim was able to get away and ran to a 7-11 in Luxstone for help.
