This is the basic task or mission of the Church and of every member of the Church: to preach the Gospel. If you’re not mad on that word ‘preach’ and don’t think preaching is for you, then you can change it for another verb, but the basic task remains the same: to share, to teach, to spread, or to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

“If you’re lucky, there are people in your life who are willing to listen to you talk in circles about the same bullshit for like eleven years and still choose to hang out with you.”“I am very lucky. Thank you.”I shared a meme on “insert social media here” with the guys on the Dad Time Out Show; my podcast, this morning. The meme perfectly summed up our relationships and discourse over the last three to four years.

While Christmas may not be our holiest day of the year, it is often our most joyful. For the birth of the child Jesus – the Son of God born in human flesh – expresses most tenderly the love that God has for us, his closeness to us, and his desire that we draw closer to him and to one another.
