SIMSBURY, CT — It was a case of deja vu in Simsbury regarding the town's acceptance of Pride Month and the flying of a Pride Flag at Simsbury Town Hall. The Simsbury Board of Selectmen voted 4-1 May 12 to fly the Pride Flag for the onth of June, which starts Sunday, at Simsbury Town Hall. With Simsbury First Selectman Wendy Mackstutis absent from the meeting, selectmen voted 4-1 to fly the flag at town hall, with Republican Kevin Beal the lone dissenter.

CANTON, CT β A road project that started Wednesday will cause a few traffic delays in the coming days in Canton, the town's public works department said. According to the Canton Department of Public Works, Dowd and Maple avenues are getting a fresh round of pavement, a project that began Wednesday, May 28. As a result, sections of Down/Maple (from Center Street to Route 44) will be targeted and delays are to be expected. Motorists are being urged to use caution in the area.
