Forty years ago this week, Animotion's synth-laced anthem "Obsession" was entrenched in the Billboard Top 40 while its surreal, cinematic music video was in constant rotation on MTV. We chatted up co-lead singer Bill Wadhams recently to dish on all things '80s and his upcoming visit to KC.

Guess who's back in town? That's right-comedian, actor, and all-around scene-stealer Kevin Pollak is making his umpteenth appearance at this year's Big Slick Weekend, and fans couldn't be more excited. Big thanks to @NKF_KSMO for letting me host their annual Great Plates KC fundraiser last night. So many amazing local restaurateurs were on-hand serving up delicious dishes & drinks. Oh, and we raised approximately $22 billion dollars (give or take) for the organization, too. https://t.co/8i1teM378K

Every 3 minutes, a child is born with a cleft lip or palate somewhere in the world. When KC surgeons Robert Weiss & Patrick Christopher heard that, they started the Forever Smiles Foundation — to provide complimentary high-quality surgical interventions.https://t.co/JuyL2THXWX
