    A new vanity plate option for Wisconsin drivers will help support two native crane species. On Oct. 9, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation added the Cranes of Wisconsin to their list of specialized license plate options. The plate — designed by Wisconsin artist Jay Jocham, whose work has helped fund programs protecting wildlife for more than 37 years — features the two species native to Wisconsin: the endangered whooping crane and the sandhill crane.
