To mark the opening of their playing facilities and state-of-the-art new stand, Stewartstown Harps team of 2005 are taking on a Tyrone team of the decade on Saturday afternoon. It also marks as the 20-year anniversary of Tyrone’s 2005 All-Ireland success and they’ll be wearing a customised strip to mark the occasion.

BELLAGHY Wolfe Tones GAC are inviting GAA clubs across Ireland to stand beside the family of the late Sean Brown. In a powerful act of solidarity and resilience, the “Walk for Truth” aims to highlight the support for Brown family in their pursuit of a public inquiry into Sean’s death. In a letter, widely circulated on social media and sent to Gaelic Life, the club are appealing for those attending to wear their club. “We respectfully ask that attendees wear their club colours with pride,” it read.

By Michael McMullanARMAGH Ladies won their fifth Ulster title in six seasons on Saturday but Blaithin Mackin said it hasn’t always been rosy in the garden. She recalls the earlier years of her career when the Orchard County were on the other side of results and Donegal were top of the pops in Ulster. Two first half goals from Aoife McCoy put Armagh on their way to victory and Mackin was glad with how they “controlled” the decider.

Beaten finalists Armagh have three players on the team, including Oisin Conaty who hit six points, one of which took the decider to extra-time.
