    Last spring the county newspaper paid me $200 to write about local dreams. I interviewed a man whose job it was to cycle out the books from the little lending library in the center of town. We met at a diner nobody liked and was always empty but stayed in business as such diners often do. He told me he mostly dreamed about colors. Yellow in spring, green in winter, purple in autumn. Summer heat made the man’s legs swell and he didn’t want to talk about what he saw those nights.

    Pondering one’s orb just got a little closer to home. As the Blockworks team reported this week, Sam Altman’s Worldcoin officially launched in the US. There are a number of components here, but the headline-grabbing one, of course, is the ability for Americans to get their irises scanned in exchange for a handful of WLD. If you’re in Atlanta, Los Angeles, San Francisco and a few other US cities, the doors will eventually open, I guess.

    I guess the Trump team figured out a way to defy gravity, memecoin style. Earlier this week, a private dinner with President Trump was announced for “[t]he top $TRUMP Coin holders.” Specifically, the “TOP 25 COIN HOLDERS” according to the, uh, splashy website that debuted alongside the announcement. Predictably, TRUMP pumped, and is up more than 8% on the day.
