ARLINGTON, VA — A 45-year-old Falls Church man was sentenced on May 2 to 3 1/2 years in prison in connection to a 2024 hit-and-run crash with in which a motorcyclist was injured, according to court documents. Around 12:40 p.m., on May 26, 2024, a motorcycle was heading south on I-395 near the Pentagon when it was struck by a Honda van that Virginia State Police said did not remain on the scene. The motorcyclist was hospitalized with serious injuries.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — Philadelphia-based fast-casual restaurant honeygrow opened for business at its new Fairfax City Mall location on Friday. The Fairfax City restaurant is the sixth honeygrow in Virginia and the 18th in the DMV. Additional locations in Falls Church and Glen Burnie, Maryland are slated to open later this year. “We’re excited to continue expanding in the DMV, particularly Northern Virginia,” said Justin Rosenberg, founder and CEO of honeygrow.

FAIRFAX CITY, VA — City of Fairfax Police are asking the public's help in locating a missing 15-year-old girl. Julissa Ashley Romero was last seen around 12:30 a.m. on Friday in the Fairhaven Court area of the city, police say. She was reportedly seen in a gray sedan with an unknown male. Police described Romero as standing 5-foot-1 and weighing 160 pounds, with red/black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a red shirt and black pants.
