Election Day is the only poll that matters. It was conducted with a vanishingly small margin of error under the auspices of our fifty states and various territories. It was once again revealed as the world’s greatest pageant of democracy. It resulted in a resounding victory for Donald Trump in both the popular vote and the Electoral College. The Trump Campaign had a legion of lawyers ready to dispute election results at each and every, for them, discomforting turn.

The first in a series trying to understand the immigration crisis:The United States is home to more foreign-born residents than any other country in the world. In 2021, immigrants composed 13.6% of our population – 45 million among 332 million persons. Immigrants and their U.S. born children make up 27% of our population – almost 90 million persons. The Census Bureau projects that by 2050 there will be 65 million immigrants living within a population of 375 million persons – 17%.
