MONTANA (KUMV) - School is back in session in Montana, and Governor Greg Gianforte wants districts to think about implementing cell phone bans during the school day. In a letter sent to Superintendents this week, Gianforte says cell phones distract students, cause learning loss and lower grades. He says the governor’s office will work with education leaders and health officials to develop resources to assist districts. Several school districts already have plans in place.
