The Missouri Tigers made multiple splashes in the transfer portal, one of which came at the running back position. Head coach Eli Drinkwitz and his staff added to-be sophomore Ahmad Hardy from Louisiana-Monroe, one of the nation's leading rushers last year as a freshman. Hardy rushed for 1,357 yards and 13 touchdowns in his freshman season on 237 carries, cementing his name as one of the best in the nation only one year into his college career.

Shortly after the end of his collegiate wrestling career, Keegan O'Toole is returning to the Missouri Tigers as an assistant coach. O'Toole was a two-time national champion with the Tigers, winning individual titles in 2022 and 2023. He was also a multi-time All-American and won four conference championships during his time as a Tiger. O'Toole also won two world titles for Team USA in 2021 and 2023 at the 74-kilogram weight class.

A whopping 14 teams from the Southeastern Conference made it into the 2025 NCAA softball tournament. That left only the Missouri Tigers out of the NCAA tournament this season. Such an impressive feat for the conference got only more impressive once the seeds and teams were announced, where it was learned that nine of the 16 regional rounds of the tournament would be hosted by SEC teams. The conference also possesses the top four seeds of the tournament. This really shouldn't come as a surprise.

Despite not receiving an invitation to the NBA combine, former Missouri Tigers guard Caleb Grill is making a name for himself during his pre-draft process. He's currently competing at the NBA G League Camp and so far, has been one of the best of the bunch. Competing on Team 2 out of four teams, Grill has made an impact in both live action games, individual drills and testing measurements. A combination of all of those things has led to Grill starting to jump onto some NBA radars.

For the second time in their Western Conference semifinal battle against the Denver Nuggets, the Oklahoma City Thunder were in dire need of a bounce-back win. It wasn't pretty by any means, but Oklahoma City pulled out a 92-87 victory on the road. This one would go down to the very end of the fourth quarter, with both teams' MVP candidates doing what they could to lead their teams to victory.
