The Republican Party faces an important fork in the road: Do they stand with Donald Trump who wants to add over $3 trillion to the nation’s debt or do they stand with the families and small business owners who can no longer bear that burden? As the so-called Big Beautiful Bill limps its way from its one-vote margin in the House, Senate Republicans will have to decide how much of the president’s domestic agenda they’ll support.

Pope Leo XIV is not just the first American pope, he’s the first Augustinian one. The former Rev. Robert Prevost studied at the Minor Seminary of the Augustinian Friars. The order, which dates back to the 13th century, takes its inspiration from St. Augustine of Hippo, a rebel, a bishop and influential theologian. The Augustinian ethos includes a contemplative spirituality, communal living and service to others.

If you have kids or if you’ve been a kid yourself recently, you’ve probably heard of the famous children’s book “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie.” It’s the cautionary tale about how ceding a trifle of something — such as a cookie — to a mouse will only lead to more demands and expectations, each harder to satisfy than the last. Perhaps when Donald Trump read this book to a group of children for a photo-op as a private citizen back in 2003, he inverted its original lesson.

The only absurdity is listening to this bullsh!t every. damn. day.

Leavitt: "It's absurd for anyone to insinuate that this president is profiting off of the presidency. This president was extremely successful before giving it all to serve our country publicly." https://t.co/IL5ZIrFfgf
