Good afternoon!Northwest winds are picking up, not only bringing drier air into the Valley but also much cooler air. Temperatures in the 50s will continue to fall into the mid and upper 40s later this morning. Highs only budge a couple of degrees, back to the low 50s midday, before falling during the afternoon. Clouds will mix with some sun during the day, then skies begin to clear this evening as high pressure builds in from the west. Winds will relax tonight under mostly clear skies.

Good morning,A much more seasonable day is ahead for our Wednesday. A cold front will bring our temperatures down to the mid/upper-50s. High pressure over New England is expected to create what is known as "cold air damming" across the Mid-Atlantic and Susquehanna Valley. What happens is the high pressure's clockwise rotation over New England will cause the wind to come off the Atlantic Ocean, leading to cooler air and lower temperatures east of the Appalachian Mountains.
