THERE were mixed results across the Whittlesea region in the Northern Football Netball League (NFNL). Whittlesea has lowered its colours for the first time this season, losing to Diamond Creek in a clash which pitted first and second by 31 points at the Whittlesea Showgrounds. The Creekers got the jump on Whittlesea, kicking four goals to two in the opening term to lead by 12 points at the opening change.

Wallan’s Big V women powers onWALLAN had a mixed weekend in the Big V competition for round eight. The Panthers were well in the game against Southern Peninsula at RB Robson Stadium on Saturday night, but a last term 20-13 run meant that the Sharks stole a march on Wallan to run away with a 74-67 victory.
