Having been on the market since 2018, the special-edition version of Husqvarna’s flagship motocross bike typically features suspension setting revisions and a slew of trick components from its Technical Accessories catalog every year.

Husqvarna’s FC 450 shares the same fuel-injected liquid-cooled SOHC four-stroke 450cc single-cylinder engine as KTM’s 450 SX-F, but is mellower due to its closed-off airbox. That applies both on the track and dyno because while the orange machine produces the most peak horsepower and torque of all the standard-model 450cc motocross bikes in 2024, the Husqvarna ranks second and fourth, respectively, with 55.6 hp and 33.9 lb.-ft. of torque.

The KTM 450 SX-F is known for having a linear power delivery, but that doesn’t stop it from logging some of the highest figures in the class time and time again. This year is a prime example of that, as the 2024 model boasts the most peak horsepower and torque of all the standard-model 450cc motocross bikes. Our in-house dyno recorded maximum figures of 56.4 hp and 34.6 lb.-ft. of torque at its rear wheel. “I enjoy the smooth power KTM’s 450 SX-F offers,” test rider Michael Wicker said.
