A woman has been taken to hospital with what could be "life-threatening injuries" after being hit by a van on a golf course following a police chase. Emergency services were called to Aston Wood Golf Club in the village of Little Aston, on the border of Staffordshire and Sutton Coldfield, at 10:26 BST on Friday.

Kym Bromley said she took Rugby's Ukrainian community under her wing by "sheer accident". She had been helping out sending medical supplies out to Ukraine and offered to set up a pop-up shop for people arriving in Rugby. Since then they have spent a good part of the last year together.

Coventry City Council said if it had not carried out the work it would have been forced to introduce a clean air zone, covering an area affecting 82,000 residents.
