Spring is upon us! The weather’s getting warmer. The flowers are blooming. Love is in the air. Well, love can be in the air, especially now that we actually want to be out and about with our boo or meeting a potential boo! This is where some fun spring date night ideas will come in handy. Don’t get me wrong – there are plenty of romantic dates you can do in the winter. But let’s be real – it’s cold. It’s so much comfier just staying home snuggled on the couch under a warm blanket.

It’s here – spring training is here! There’s so much to look forward to. But which storyline are we here at Metsmerized paying attention to the most? I want to see the kids, too. I am most excited for Luisangel Acuna because he was so much fun to watch last September in his brief time with the Mets. I also want to see Brett Baty, Jett Williams and Brandon Sproat. I am curious to see who gets the last spots in the starting rotation with Frankie Montas out and Sean Manaea down to start the year.

It’s that time of year again – the one where we talk football on MMO instead of baseball. You know that baseball will always be our No. 1, but for this weekend, we just have to talk football. You know that Super Bowl LIX  is happening Sunday, February 9. The Kansas City Chiefs return to the big game – again, and have the chance to make history by being the first team in NFL history to have three Super Bowl wins in a row (since the merger).

He’s coming home… tell the world he’s coming home… Pete Alonso will officially be back in the blue and orange! It was a long and bumpy road, but the Mets and Alonso have agreed to a two-year, $54 million deal with a $10 million signing bonus. Of course, we’re all pumped here at MMO and had to share our reactions with you all. I can finally unsubscribe to Jeff Passan notifications. But in all seriousness, this was the final hurdle the Mets needed to overcome to call their offseason a success.
