DA Hochman Announces Murder Charges Against Soccer Coach In Boy's Death

Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman has announced murder charges against Mario Edgardo Garcia Aquino, a 43-year-old soccer coach, in the death of 13-year-old Oscar Omar Hernandez, whose body was found last week in Ventura County. According to a press conference, Garcia Aquino was charged with one count of murder with the special circumstance allegation of murder during the commission or attempted commission of lewd acts with a child, making him eligible for the death penalty.

For the latest information, evacuation orders and warnings for all fires affecting Southern California go to fire.ca.govA vegetation fire has broken out in Camarillo near CSU Channel Islands. Per the Watch Duty app and incident command, the fire is now 15 acres with a potential to grow to 30-40 acres but incident command says they are making 'good progress.' CSU Channel Islands is asking everyone to evacuate the campus and University Glen immediately, to ensure everyone's safety.
