In 2010, a devasting fire left the farm in ruins. The family rebuilt immediately and have been growing ever since. In addition to 150 acres of a wide variety of apples to choose from, including reds, ginger, gold, grays, Macintosh, Portland, Honey Crisp, and Fiji, Oakwood also has seasonal self-pick grapes.

The program began when a former pastor reached out to Rick Lowry and his late wife Jen. The Lowry's had prior experience in the food industry. "I just retired as president of John's Dairy Farm, and my wife was in the food business as well," said Rick Lowry. Since the program began, they have served over 80,000 guests.

MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- Significant breast cancer disparities persist between Black and white cisgender women in Wisconsin, according to the Wisconsin Cancer Collaborative cancer disparities report. Dominique Hyatt-Oates is a nurse with the City of Milwaukee Health Department with their breast and cervical cancer awareness program. She also manages the program. Hyatt-Oates points out barriers between Black and white women when it comes to diagnosis and insurance.

MADISON Wis. - A driver was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following a crash on Madison's east side Tuesday morning. The crash occurred at 1:23 a.m. near the intersection of Milwaukee Street and N Fair Oaks Avenue. According to the incident report, the preliminary investigation revealed that speed was likely a factor in the crash.
