1. IntroductionOne in four adolescents aged 11–18 report sleeping less than the recommended 8–10 h a night [1]. Adolescence is a developmental period in which changes to sleep often occur due to a range of biopsychosocial factors [2]. Adolescents experience a phase shift in circadian processes resulting in a physiological change that drives staying up later at night and sleeping later in the morning [3].
