    Mexican Caribbean destinations like Cancun, Playa del Carmen, and Tulum are most known for their beautiful beaches, which is undeniable.   Their location on the Yucatan Peninsula, though, means they all have various Mayan ruins to explore, too.   While they may not be as well-known as those further inland like the great Chichen Itza, destinations along the coast still offer plenty of fine examples of Mayan history and ingenuity.   One of the best archeological sites in the region is in Tulum.

    It’s no secret that the Mexican Caribbean has numerous stunning beaches lining its white sand coast, but two of them stand out above all the rest.   Those beaches are Cancun’s Playa Delfines, also known as Dolphin Beach, and Playa Norte, on the island of Isla Mujeres, which sits just off the coast of Cancun.   These two Cancun beaches are among the top 20 in the world according to TripAdvisor.
