    One of the surefire signs of spring in Lancaster city is the return of music nonprofit Music For Everyone's colorful community pianos. Starting Tuesday, May 13, there will be 13 pianos placed around downtown Lancaster, each of which will be accessible for the public to play on. This marks the return of the Keys for the City program. (There will be an additional piano placed in Intercourse, too.)The pianos are sponsored by local businesses and painted by a local artist.

    During the dog days of summer, when you're watching one of Long's Park's free concerts as part of its summer music series, you can also enjoy a special flavor of Jimmy Juice — and a portion of its proceeds will go toward the amphitheater’s restoration. For those not in the know, Jimmy Juice is a line of canned cocktails made by Lancaster-based Horse Hollow Distillery. The line is named after the late Jimmy, a dog who was ostensibly the mascot for Sickman's Mill in Pequea.

    Emmy-winning actor William H. Macy recently dined at a Lancaster city restaurant and took photos with its staff. Macy, known for his Academy Award-nominated role of Jerry Lundegaard in the movie "Fargo" and the Emmy-winning show "Shameless," dined at Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant, at 781 Harrisburg Pike in Lancaster on Monday, April 28, according to a social media post. The post says that Macy ate the restaurant's Moroccan salmon dish and had a Wunderbier, too.
