CommentRather than being made to pay for its plundering, there’s something even more devastating and long-lasting that the British could do – educate itself properly about its colonial history, says Mihir BoseIn 1969, when I came from India to study, I showed a professor a book I had detailing the harm the British had caused to India. I hoped this would stimulate a discussion about the empire. But my professor tossed it aside, saying the empire meant nothing to the British.

With Remembrance Day coming, arguments about whether poppies should be worn are in full flow. Yet there is one issue that never seems to be heard in the annual debate that now marks this solemn occasion: while Britain fought the second world war to defeat Nazi Germany, putting its own existence as a free country at stake, it denied freedom to its colonies. Spurs have had 16 shots to Forest's four so far. Poor defending and finishing again the order of the day.

If it is any consolation Tottenham won the second half 1-0. Forest did not have a chance in the second half.

Looking at Ange's face he does not seem concerned this is yet another home defeat. One of the worst seasons for Spurs.
