    SOLVAY, N.Y. — Crucible Industries, a major player in American steel manufacturing since 1900, could be on the verge of filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. In a letter sent to employees on December 5, Crucible stated it was facing "serious financial difficulties," and while the company is taking steps to "address the issues," the company will "likely file a Chapter 11 bankruptcy petition," which could allow the company to continue operations.

    SYRACUSE, N.Y. — New York State Police arrested a 17-year-old male for stealing a 2004 gray Mazda. Around 11 p.m. on December 4, New York State Police from North Syracuse were on patrol and observed the 2004 Mazda that was confirmed to be stolen and attempted to pull the vehicle over for a traffic stop in the town of Salina. The driver failed to pull over, and a pursuit was initiated. The 17-year-old drove into a yard and fled the area.

    SYRACUSE, N.Y. — National Grid employees visited the Samaritan Center to decorate its dining area for the holidays. The Samaritan Center is an interfaith community organization that fights hunger by providing hot meals twice a day to those in need. To lift visitors holiday spirit, National Grid employees decorated the center with lights, trees, bobbles and more on December 3. National Grid is committed to the neighborhoods and communities in which it lives and works.
