Fencing Academy founder aims to expand offerings

LAND O’ LAKES — Alex Kossmann is getting off the fence about his fencing academy. The Land O’ Lakes fencing enthusiast started the Land O’ Lakes Fencing Academy in 2023 with a handful of students. Today, with membership doubled and doing well at competitions, Kossmann wants to expands the academy’s classes. In addition to offering classes twice weekly at Land O’ Lakes Recreation Complex, he aims to add them at Wesley Chapel Recreation Complex.

LAND O’ LAKES — Drivers on the road in Central Pasco now have another option when it comes to access to some of the backroads. A 1.1-mile extension of Connerton Boulevard, located in the back of the ever-expanding housing community, was recently completed and is now open to residents and other through traffic. Thanks to the extension, Connerton Boulevard now connects U.S. 41/Land O’ Lakes Boulevard — through two roundabouts — to Ehren Cutoff.
