Toronto, Ontario, March 25, 2024 — In a perfect world, three in four (76%) employed Canadians would walk or bike to work, according to a new Ipsos poll conducted on behalf of Earth Day Canada. Moreover, two in three (66%) would like to have more sustainable travel options or commuting to work, and half (49%) would like their employer to organize ride sharing among their employees.

Concluding from the latest Ipsos ESG Council report, it's increasingly clear ESG's role as an agent for positive change. With more than 8 in 10 Reputation Council members agreeing that poor ESG performance now has material consequences, it is hardly surprising that it is increasingly being given a place at the top table within businesses. But to drive real change, strong leadership from the CEO down is needed to ensure ESG is embedded in every function, process, and role.
