VERNON TOWNSHIP — A display case just inside the entrance to Acutec Precision Aerospace Inc. shows visitors a few of the parts the company manufactures for airplanes, helicopters and spacecraft. On top of the case is a model of NASA’s Space Launch System — Acutec makes 70 different parts used in the rocket. Nearby is another model: the Bell Boeing V-22 Osprey, a tiltrotor military aircraft capable of taking off vertically like a helicopter and then converting to a turboprop airplane once aloft.
