Volunteers package express meals on Sunday for customers at GermanFest at Headwaters Park. The meals included a bratwurst, sauerkraut, potato salad, and apple or cherry kuchen. Currywurst, schnitzel, red cabbage, soft pretzels and fries were also available for purchase.

Crews from Crosby Excavating and Chuck's Custom Concrete continue work Monday on the Urban Trail Extension Project on Harrison Street between Berry and Main Streets. The project includes construction of an 8-foot-wide brick trail alongside a 6-foot-wide concrete sidewalk, as well as upgraded ADA ramps, improved stormwater structures, landscaping, and new street lights. The estimated $1.2 million project is expected to be completed by October 2025.

Work continues Monday at the site of The Elex on the Electric Works campus on Broadway. The Elex is a $150 million, mixed-use residential development that will include 296 apartments, an early childhood learning center, a fitness center, public parking, and commercial and retail space. It is scheduled to open in two stages: late 2025 and early 2026.
