Florida State men’s golf notched a top-10 win finish for 2025, but narrowly missed the chance for something bigger. The Seminoles’ season came to an end on Monday with a ninth-place finish at the NCAA Championships, finishing one stroke shy of a spot in the national quarterfinals. FSU was in position to advance after each of the first three days of stroke play before falling to ninth in the final round.

Two stellar seasons in Florida State women’s sports came to an end this week. Florida State women’s golf finished two wins shy of a national championship. FSU softball was swept by No. 12 Texas Tech in the Tallahassee Super Regional. FSU women’s golf’s run ultimately came to an end on Tuesday against No. 1 Stanford, 3-1. After falling behind 2-0, FSU was forced to pull out three very close matches.

Through two days of the NCAA Tournament, Florida State softball has felt little resistance. The Seminoles are one win away from the NCAA Super Regional round following a pair of run-rule victories to open the Tallahassee Regional. No. 5 national seed FSU needed just five innings to dispose of Robert Morris on Friday, 10-1. After Isa Torres scored on FSU’s first swing of the day, the Seminoles blew things open with five runs in the third before adding four in the fourth.

The well-oiled machine that is Florida State women’s golf kept chugging along this week. The second-ranked Seminoles punched their ticket to the NCAA Championships by winning the Lexington Regional. FSU led after all three rounds and finished 15-under par as a team. That was five strokes better than Kansas State and Georgia Southern, who each finished tied for second. Mirabel Ting and Lottie Woad led the way for the Seminoles, finishing tied for second. Kaylah Williams also finished in the top 20.

Florida State softball hopes bigger things are ahead, but the Seminoles already have something to celebrate. With a 13-4 road win over No. 13 Virginia Tech on Friday night in Blacksburg, FSU claimed the ACC regular season title. The Seminoles went ahead for good on Amaya Ross’ 2-run single in the first inning. FSU finished with 14 hits and scored in each inning. Jahni Kerr and Michaela Edenfield each homered in the win. Ross finished 2-for-4 with four RBIs and a run scored.
