    New images have been released of the first phase of the proposed Cardiff Crossrail project. The initial stage would see the construction of a tramway linking Cardiff Central railway station and Cardiff Bay. Cardiff Council and Transport for Wales say the scheme will complement the ongoing South Wales Metro work to increase the frequency and speed of service on the existing Cardiff Bay line. A six-week public consultation begins today.

The 'Remember Me Roses' are intended for people to buy to help remember a family member or friend. The individual roses combine to form part of the display on the castle's banks, before owners can take them away to keep at a place of their choosing.

    Travelling through the Severn Tunnel is something many of us are used to. But today we're experiencing it in a very different way - journeying on foot to see construction work up close. The tunnel is closed from July 3 to July 19 so engineers can replace more than 7km of track. It's a mammoth task, with teams also installing more than 10,000 sleepers and over 22,000 tonnes of ballast. Trains from South Wales to the West of England and beyond are rerouted via Gloucester while the tunnel is shut.

    The lives and traditions of children from Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities in South Wales are being celebrated in a new project. Pupils from West Monmouth School in Pontypool have created and curated the Wanderlust exhibition, which runs at Torfaen Museum until the middle of July. The scheme, launched to tie in with Gypsy, Roma and Traveller History Month, offers a candid insight into the lives of the families taking part.
