Q. Our first question this week is from Cajun Hog who asks: Are you surprised that Arkansas not only finally won its own regional but there wasn’t a lot of drama to it? I was worried going in but the Hogs surprised me. What surprised you? A. I wasn’t surprised that Arkansas got through the regional but there were some surprises. Let’s start with Kansas. They were supposed to be the team to watch out for. They went two and out. North Dakota State surprised me. They played Arkansas its closest game at 6-2.

Q. Our first question is from mousetown who asks: What about the Fayetteville regional? Did the committee shaft us again? Kansas looks tough with their RPI and what about maybe having to play Tennessee in a Super? The last thing we need is another series with them. A. Some of their numbers are impressive. Kansas is 43-15 overall and tied for the second most wins among power conference teams. They have twenty true road wins. That’ll grab your attention.

Q. Our first question this week is from Hawgredneck who asks: Can the softball Razorbacks make it to Oklahoma City? I think this is the year. They were given a tough field for the Fayetteville Regional and they passed the test with flying colors. Ole Miss is going down. A. I really thought that second game against Oklahoma State might be a nail biter. It was never close. Arkansas stood out in all three phases of the game. Pitching, hitting and defense. That’s why they won it 12-0.

Q. For the second week in a row our first question is from HillCountryRazorback who asks: Which was the bigger problem at LSU, pitching or hitting? Both were disappointing but I think hitting was a problem in all three games where pitching was only really bad in game two. A. I would tend to agree with that. Technically the game one loss was on Aiden Jimenez because he lost a 4-2 lead in the 7th. It became 4-4 and LSU won in extra innings but you need more than 4 runs in that situation.
