My sister Kate died three years ago today. In some ways, all the time since that day has been a blur. Yes, life has changed. Financial freedom is something we should all aim forHow can anyone be happy unless they have financial independence? I just finished watching a documentary on poverty among middle-class Americans. These were people who had everything but suddenly found themselves homeless. They had well-paid jobs, new cars, and large houses. It astounded me how all that could disappear so quickly. But then it became obvious. Now of them built any wealth. The houses had mortgages and the cars had loans.

And there's no need to budget eitherWhen I read articles about building wealth, one suggestion that almost always comes up is budgeting. I hate budgeting. I refuse to do. I refuse to skip my daily coffee just because my spreadsheet says I'm over budget. In fact, I don’t even have a spreadsheet, but I’m sure you get my meaning. The sort of budgeting where you have to scrimp, save, and watch every penny sounds soul-destroying to me. That's surviving not living life to its fullest. Cut down on eating out.
