COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — A property tax relief plan passed by Ohio House republicans would impact every school district in Franklin County, according to state data. Columbus City Schools and 15 other districts all had cash savings for fiscal year 2024 above the 30% cap proposed in the latest version of the state budget, records from the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce showed.

The role of superintendent at Marysville Exempted Village Schools is more than just a job for Dr. Zack Howard. “This is home to me,” Howard said. “So, to me, it’s personal.”The 1995 Marysville High School graduate will take over as superintendent in August following the retirement Dr. Diane Allen at the end of May. Allen started leading the district in 2012. “I’ve known Zach for several years, probably close to 20 years,” Allen said.
