2025 Worlds Report Card: Norway

Unfortunately for Norway, their return to the top division of Worlds competition for the first time was 1997 was short-lived. This tournament was a tough test for a team that clawed its way to promotion a year ago as a result of close wins and excellent goaltending. Sadly, there was no magic for Norway in Czechia. Team Norway went 1-3-0 in the group stage which resulted in a fourth-place finish in Group B and relegation to Division 1A for 2026.

It's time! The 2025 World Championship, hosted in České Budějovice, Czechia, has arrived. The ten top national teams in the world will cross their sticks in their respective group stage play beginning on April 9, 2025, with Team Finland and Team USA kicking things off in Budvar Arena. As expected, Team Canada's games will be accessible to Canadian viewers on TSN. For fans in the States, NHL Network will be carrying Team USA's games.

PWHL releases waiver list

Last night, the PWHL released the league's waiver list. These are players who have not signed a standard player agreement – in other words, a contract – with the team they have been in training camp with. This includes players who were offered a contract and chose not to sign as well as draft picks and camp attendees who were not signed. So, these are the players cut from camp. The waiver period closes today at 3 p.m. ET and all teams must be roster compliant by tonight at 5 p.m. ET.
