It's time! The 2025 World Championship, hosted in České Budějovice, Czechia, has arrived. The ten top national teams in the world will cross their sticks in their respective group stage play beginning on April 9, 2025, with Team Finland and Team USA kicking things off in Budvar Arena. On Feb. 12, 2025, the Boston Fleet signed veteran forward Jillian Dempsey to a 10-Day SPA (Standard Player Agreement). Today, Feb. 21, 2025, the Fleet signed her to a full SPA. PWHL releases waiver list

Last night, the PWHL released the league's waiver list. These are players who have not signed a standard player agreement – in other words, a contract – with the team they have been in training camp with. This includes players who were offered a contract and chose not to sign as well as draft picks and camp attendees who were not signed. So, these are the players cut from camp. The waiver period closes today at 3 p.m. ET and all teams must be roster compliant by tonight at 5 p.m. ET.
