Operatives of the Edo State Security Network (ESN) have intercepted four armed travellers in Benin City, recovering guns, ammunition, and other dangerous weapons from the suspects. The individuals, identified as Yusuf Abdulkarim, Mujaheed Garba, Shittu Idris, and Jamilu Habibu, were said to be journeying from Doguwa in Kano State to Uvbe Community in Orhionwon Local Government Area of Edo State when they were arrested at Ikpoba Hill, Benin City, the state capital.

By MIKE OSAROGIAGBON Tragedy struck in Uzalla Community in Uhumwode Local Government Area of Edo State, when a 34-year-old man, Ijayi Omokaro, allegedly killed his elder brother Friday Omokaro,38 during a heated argument, last Tuesday. According to reports, the deadly altercation began in the afternoon, about 3:30 PM, when the two brothers engaged in a violent dispute, which escalated dramatically, and in a fit of rage, Ajayi allegedly grabbed a machete and hacked his brother to death.
