CINCINNATI — The Bengals better be ready to start fast. Their 2025 schedule leaves them little choice to answer the bell early. The Bengals will open the season in Cleveland for the second time in three seasons. That will be followed with their home opener in Week 2 against Jacksonville. After that the Bengals play at Minnesota the following Sunday and then at Denver on Monday night, Sept. 29. After a home game against Detroit, the Bengals then travel to Green Bay.

CINCINNATI -- Davis Martin allowed one run over a career-high 6 2/3 innings while Michael A. Taylor and Lenyn Sosa belted solo homers to power the White Sox to a 4-2 win over the Reds Wednesday night, spoiling Pete Rose Night at Great American Ball Park. The victory was significant for the South Siders, who won their third straight game for the first time this season and have won four of five while securing their first road series of the year.

And those in and around the organization hope recognizing the most famous player in the history of the 156-year-old franchise might be just the trick to do it. But Pete Rose Night has far more to do with honoring the memory and baseball legacy of the “Hit King” than it does everything on the periphery. Rose died on Sept. 30, 2024 at the age of 83.

Reds Beat: Why Demoting Alexis Diaz To Triple-A Louisville Was The Only Move To Make For Now. MY COLUMN: https://t.co/HkhNfCzU2K

Figured this was coming... The Reds have optioned RHP Alexis Díaz to Triple-A Louisville (post-game on 4/30); recalled RHP Luis Mey from AAA-Louisville. Diaz needs to show he can respond the way Noelvi Marte did in spring training.

Chase Petty vows to learn from Wednesday night and simply execute better when he gets his next chance. “I know I’m better than how I performed tonight.” https://t.co/XsjsMbcU9l
