For months, people have been receiving text messages that appear to be from E-ZPass, claiming they have an unpaid toll. The agencies are planning to use data from reports to identify patterns and potentially disrupt scam operations. Officials said E-ZPass will never send payment requests via text message.

New information is being released involving an officer-involved shooting in Dover. A court affidavit says 28-year-old Moriah Infinjer was trying to get a Trooper to shoot and kill her Sunday. Infinjer was spotted driving more than 100 miles per hour on Route 16 and after her vehicle was stopped, she got out and refused to drop a dark object in her hand. That led to the trooper opening fire and Infinjer needed treatment for non-life-threatening injury. She’s also facing multiple charges.

New Hampshire motorists are feeling a bit less strain on their wallets when filling up their vehicles. Triple A says the average cost for a gallon of regular fuel right now is two-85. That is down four cents from last week and it’s also seven cents less than it was at this point one month ago. Triple A is reporting that supply and demand is the main reason for this dip. Currently the national average is sitting at three-19.

An investigation is underway following an officer-involved shooting along the Spaulding Turnpike in Dover. According to the NH State Attorney General’s Office, troopers tried to pull over 28-year-old Moriah Infinjer from Farmington for a traffic stop on the Spaulding Turnpike near the Dover-Rochester city line early yesterday morning. Infinjer sped off and a spike strip was used to get her vehicle to stop. A trooper shot Infinjer and she needed treatment for a non-life threatening injury.

A Chichester man was arrested yesterday morning after leading police on a pursuit through multiple New Hampshire towns along Route 106. State police said the driver, identified as 31-year-old Dylan Beaudet crossed into the opposite lane and drove the wrong direction multiple times during the pursuit. The chase was terminated for safety reasons, but Beaudet’s vehicle was later found abandoned. Beaudet was eventually arrested on Bow Lake Road in Barnstead.

Attorney General John M. Formella announces that members of the Attorney General’s Office are responding to a report of an officer-involved shooting that occurred early this morning in the Dover area with an adult female shot during an incident involving a traffic stop by New Hampshire State Police. No law enforcement officers were physically injured in the incident. The adult female is currently in stable condition and receiving medical treatment for her injuries.

However, the IRS says citizens impacted by natural disasters in 12 states have automatic tax extensions to file and pay their 2024 taxes. Some extensions only apply to certain areas within those states. To find out whether or not you qualify for an extension the IRS website has a page listing the delayed deadlines.

Democrats in the New Hampshire House are criticizing the House budget plan the chamber passed this year over its cuts to low-income healthcare. The two-year, 15-and-a-third billion dollar plan the House passed Thursday cuts Governor Kelly Ayotte’s budget plan by 643-million dollars. The biggest cuts come out of the state’s Health and Human Services budget, with many cuts to Medicaid services and aid to the elderly, the low-income and the disabled.

Yesterday, lawmakers approved a two-year, over 16-billion dollar fiscal plan that made major cuts to the courts, human services and higher education. The budget now advances to the State Senate for review. If passed there it’d be up to Governor Ayotte to sign the budget before it can go into effect.
