According to Jeff Borzello of ESPN, the UCLA men's basketball team is No. 14 in his early Top 25 rankings. Last season, UCLA went 23-11 overall and had a 13-7 conference record in its first season in the Big Ten. The Bruins also returned to the NCAA Tournament, but had a second round exit. Though these are improvements off the previous season, the results fell short of what UCLA fans hoped for.

This past weekend, the UCLA women’s basketball team hosted an official visit from the No. 25 prospect in the 2026 class, 6-2 wing Bella Ragone from Hoschton (Ga.) Mill Creek. According to ESPN Hoopgurlz 2026 player rankings, Ragone is a four-star with a 94 scout rating. She is also the 6th overall wing in the nation and the No. 2 rated player in the state of Georgia. UCLA offered Ragone back in April. With her height and skill set, Ragone can play both the wing and be utilized around the basket.

UCLA has received a commitment from Pitt transfer tight end Jake Renda, who has signed with the Bruins…UCLA adds another player to the roster via the transfer portal as Pittsburgh tight end Jake Renda has committed to UCLA, according to sources. And BRO has confirmed that Renda has in fact signed with UCLA as well. Renda did not play last season due to a preseason injury. Prior to that, he had two catches in one game in 2023, good for a total of 14 yards.
