The one that I hated too. “Once upon a time, a long long time ago, there was a king. He wanted to discover and compress all the world’s knowledge into one book.” I hadn’t heard a “once upon a time” story in a while.

Eyes wide open, she scans her dark bedroom, watchful of the shadows that look more and more like monsters with each closer look. Enormous spiders with sharp fangs and spindly legs. Masked men in black robes, warping and twisting from floor to ceiling. Even more monsters lurk under her bed. Big, hairy beasts with red eyes and sharp claws. Slimy creatures with long tongues and thousands of eyes.

    Coloma is famous for its gold rush, when a miner found gold they would deposit their gold at a bank. You can imagine how much gold may have been in a bank. Millions and millions of gold nuggets! Well one day under the cover of darkness, the wanted bandit Sam Francisco snuck into the bank and stole all the gold. When morning came, the bank employees realized someone had stolen all their gold! They immediately called the sheriff of town.
