Students at The Phoenix Collegiate are celebrating their examination results today, having attained the schools best ever GCSE results. Over 75 per cent of students received a pass at GCSE English and there were nine students with an average attainment above grade 8. Mike Smith Headteacher stated: "These results are testament to the hard work and dedication of our Year 11 students, but also that of our staff. The teaching team deliver fabulous lessons day in day out to all our students.

He was hired June 18 replacing former Bronco football coach Kurt Taufa’asau who resigned in May to become the new head coach at New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas, according to a press from New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI).

For the second year in a row, the Loving High School softball team shut out Lordsburg in a huge way to advance to the next round of the A-AA state playoffs. Wednesday afternoon in Rio Rancho, the Falcons bats pounded the Mavericks 16-0 as the defending state champions prepare for the second round Thursday morning. Last season, Loving shutout Lordsburg 22-0 en route to a repeat championship in the state tournament.
